Your body require much rest and proper care after birth to allow optimal recovery during your postpartum. This typically will take roughly 6-8 weeks. During this period, you might find yourself in a situation where you need to carry things. But, how heavy can your body carry?

For the first 2 weeks (minimally), we recommend not carrying anything heavier than the total weight of your baby and your carrier. We also recommend limiting any strenuous and taxing activities within the first 6 weeks.

The best scenario to optimize your postpartum recovery is to not carry anything heavy at all, if it is within your capacity. However, if you are not able to escape carrying heavy things, do allow a minimum of 2 weeks before doing so.

Dear Mummies, remember to communicate with your loved ones and ask for help when you need them. 💛
